Work
I’m conducting in-depth malware analysis across both Windows (Intel architecture) and Android platforms. This includes reverse-engineering malware samples, identifying obfuscation techniques, extracting indicators of compromise (IOCs), and supporting threat intelligence workflows. My focus is on understanding attack behavior, delivery mechanisms, and persistence techniques used in real-world scenarios.
In paralllel, I’m currently engaged in the practical implementation of the NIS2 directive, with a focus on risk management, incident response, and establishing security governance for critical infrastructure and enterprise environments. As part of this, I’m also actively studying the Hungarian legislation related to NIS2 and focusing on how the directive is being transposed into national regulations.

Hi, I’m Áron Gellén, an IT security advisor with over 15 years of experience across cybersecurity, cloud security architecture, and enterprise infrastructure. I’ve had the opportunity to work with companies of all sizes—from global corporations to national enterprises—helping them secure their systems, protect sensitive data, and navigate today’s evolving cyber threats.
Over the years, I’ve held roles like Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, Security Analyst, and System Administrator, giving me end-to-end visibility of IT operations—from the ground-level architecture to high-level strategic planning. I’ve architected and implemented cloud security solutions, advised on regulatory compliance, and built security frameworks aligned with industry standards, including the NIS2 directive.
I’ve defended enterprise environments using SIEM platforms, WAFs, IDPS, anti-DDoS services, and endpoint protection tools. Recently, I’ve also expanded into malware analysis, allowing me to dive deeper into threat behavior and support incident response with a more analytical edge. My experience spans industries like retail, telecommunications, aviation, and finance—where cybersecurity is critical and expectations are high.
Now working as a freelancer, I help organizations assess risks, respond to threats, implement robust controls, and stay aligned with modern frameworks like NIS2—ensuring compliance and long-term resilience.
